amanda & scott married // madison indiana fall wedding photographer
I had the amazing honor of photographing Amanda and Scott’s beautiful and simple fall wedding in Madison Indiana. I knew after photographing their engagement session () that these two were going to make my job a breeze.
Amanda filled her wedding with DIY touches and the entire event felt so personal. The couple wed downtown historic Madison and had their reception at an adorable venue on the hilltop.
Here is the wedding story i put together for the couple to have their images at hand. Their album will be arriving shortly!
I am still booking for 2012 and have approximately four wedding slots left. For date and price inquiries, email amyjohorn@gmail.com
beautiful bride, Velvett.
Here are a few of my favorite photos of Velvett (Trantham) Hill on her wedding day. This Madison, Indiana resident traveled with her (now) husband and 20 of their closest friends and family down to Gatlinburg, TN for an intimate wedding in February.
Josh couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful bride, and neither could my camera!

groom and a go cart
I feel so blessed to have been chosen to capture Madison, Indiana couple Josh and Velvett’s special day in Gatlinburg, TN. I was invited to a pancake breakfast with the girls the morning of the wedding (delish!) and was in for a real treat when the groom and groomsmen informed me they’d like their “getting ready photos” riding go-carts! After photographing some from the safety of the observation deck, I ventured into a double cart to have some “live-action” I haven’t jumped head-first into editing this part of the day, but did enjoy this shot of the husband-to-be.
Look for more to come from this wedding. What.A.Blast!
It’s in the details
From her flower, handmade from 1920’s sheet music, to her headpiece, Bridget’s details were great. Here’s a closer look at them:

guys and dolls
Wedding photography is always more fun when your wedding party is up for anything. Here, the bridesmaids were sisters with the bride and had a great connection and the groomsmen were up for a round of Kentucky Scotch.

wedding details
When choosing a wedding photographer, make sure it’s someone who will pay attention to the details of the day. Believe me, you are too busy with everything else to stop and enjoy them. Make sure they are captured for your enjoyment once the whirlwind wedding has wound down. Here are a few things I always make sure to photograph:

kissing is fun
One of my favorite awkward moments in photographing couples is getting the kissing photos. Now, this isn’t awkward for me, I love it! The couples, however, have a more difficult time adjusting.
I’m lucky to have such great, in love, clients. After a few initial giggles and nose bumps, the kisses get longer and sweeter.
Hats off to my kissing couples!
i love outdoor photography!
When shooting, sometimes the landscape speaks as much as the subject. In Madison, Indiana I love doing wedding photography or engagement photos at the Lanier Home or throughout downtown. I also visited Ault Park in Cincinnati, Ohio last summer and LOVED it. I can’t wait to shoot in Cincinnati again so I can revisit that park. Here’s a compilation of some great place I’ve shot.
